Josef Režný
Josef Režný is an internationally known
musician, folk song collector and the founder of Europe’s first
international bagpipe festival, held every two years in the South
Bohemian town of Strakonice.
Apart from his work as a musician, Režny is a recognized scholar of Czech, German-Bohemian and Bavarian bagpipe music and has published numerous books on the subject of the closely connected relationships of the music of these areas.
